Prof. Ofer Amir, Medical Director

Professor Amir heads the School of Communication Disorders at Tel Aviv University. Ofer is a member of the Board of Directors of the Israel Association of Speech Practitioners (ISHLA) and a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Prof. Amir has been treating stuttering since 1992. He has published numerous studies in the field and holds a doctorate from the University of Illinois.

Dr. Yair Shapira, Founder & CEO

Yair combined his vast experience as executive in successful start-up firms, his Ph.D. in the field of speech signal processing, with his passion to help his son, to establish NiNiSpeech. Yair’s vision is to significantly increase speech therapy success rate using evidence-based therapy and groundbreaking technologies. Dr. Shapira served in senior positions in successful start-ups in Israel and Europe, and holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Technion.

Dr. Yoav Medan, Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Medan is the person behind NiNiSpeech core technologies, offering automatic detection, classification and measurement of speech disorders. Yoav is bringing to NiNiSpeech decades of successful technological leadership. Yoav led InSightec architecture (see his TED talk), headed IBM’s speech labs, and serves as visiting professor at the Technion.

Prof. Scott Yaruss, Advisory Board

Professor Yaruss is among the leading researchers in the field of stuttering, bringing over 25 years of experience on the topic. Prof. Yaruss published over 70 peer-reviewed papers on fluency disorders. Among his global activities Scott is Professor at Michigan State University, was the associate coordinator of ASHA Special Interest Division for Fluency Disorders and served on the Board of the National Stuttering Association.

Dr. Kathleen Whitmire, Advisor

Dr. Whitmire is an internationally recognized expert in communication disorders. She has served in leadership roles in public education, universities, professional organizations and boards, and the not-for-profit world. She has published and presented extensively on clinical practice with children and youth with communication disorders, is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), where she served as director of school services.

Goncalo Leal, Advisor

Goncalo is a leader speech language pathologist and the coordinator of SpeechCare clinic in Lisbon, Portugal, with a wide experience in stuttering treatments both with children and adults.

Véronique Aumont – Boucand, Advisor

Veronique is a lecturer at the Faculty of Paris, and curriculum director of DU for specialists in paris. Pedagogical Director of the “Bégaiement and fluency disorders, multi-faceted” Diploma in Paris. Véronique is a well recognized expert in France within the communication disorders area.

Dr. Michal Icht, Speech Language Pathologist

Dr. Icht has over 20 years of experience in treating communication disorders over a wide range of cases and ages. Michal holds BA, MA and PhD degrees from the School of Communication Disorders at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Icht is currently a faculty member in the Department of Communication Disorders at the University of Ariel and teaches and performs research in speech, language and cognition.

Dr. Leora Moss Levi, Speech Language Pathologist

Dr. Moss-Levi is highly experienced in diagnosing and treating speech disorders. Leora served as head speech clinician in Clalit HMO, and established a chain of speech and hearing centers. Dr. Moss-Levi holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University.

Liron Mick, Therapists Team Leader

Liron manages the development of the clinic and trains the speech therapists to work with NiNiSpeech technologies. Liron is ensures the quality of treatment in the clinic, coordinates clinical studies around the world, and takes part in developing speech technologies. Liron holds a BA degree from Tel Aviv University School of Communication Disorders and is a licensed speech language pathologist.

Mikhal Sa’ar, Speech Therapist

Mikhal is a speech language pathologist, licensed in USA and Israel since 2010 and has extensive therapeutic experience in communication disorders with people of all ages. Her professional experience includes diagnosis and treatment of stuttering and other speech disorders in 3 continents. Mikhal holds ASHA CCC-SLP certification.

Adi Rinker, Speech Therapist

Licensed speech therapist and graduate of the School of Communication Disorders in the University of Haifa, Adi treats children and adults with language, speech and communication problems. Her work spans language disorders, articulation, fluency and other communication disorders.

Shirley Aharonov, Speech Therapist

Shirley holds B.A. degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Haifa, and has extensive experience in treating stuttering in all age ranges from childhood to adults. In her work, Shirley focuses on personal attention and patient needs with the goal of providing a pleasant and comfortable treatment, personally tailored to the patient. Previously, Shirley worked at the Ministry of Education with students with communication and language difficulties.

Raghad Hakim, Speech Therapist

Raghad is a licensed speech language pathologist, working with children and adults. Raghad formerly worked in school settings, as well as private and governmental clinics. Raghad earned her degree in communication disorders from Amman University.

Dan Amitai, VP R&D

Dan endeavors day and night to create the optimal user experience for patients and therapists. With 20 years of experience in the software and IT fields, Dan has managed complex systems’ development. Previously Dan served as development leader in Zoran, CSR and other companies. Dan holds a B.Sc. from the Technion and MBA from Haifa University.

Dana Weintraub, VP Marketing

Dana manages Business Development and Marketing for NiNiSpeech with the goal of providing patients with a superior treatment experience. Dana has extensive experience in management and business development positions in the world of e-commerce for international companies. She has the ability to create personal relationships with all target audiences. Dana holds B.Sc. from the Technion.

Julia Dyment, Customer Care

Julia is in charge of making the NiNiSpeech experience as smooth as possible for our patients. Julia brings experience in customer care, logistics and administration. Julia holds a degree in business administration and law from the Open University.

Ido Ran, Technical Support

Ido ensures that our technological systems are run flawlessly, and assists clients who need technical help. Ido brings a decade of experience in IT, software development and QA. Ido is also a great bass player. Ido holds a degree from the Open Univesity,.
