Prof. Ofer Amir, Medical Director

Professor Amir headed the School of Communication Disorders at Tel Aviv University. Ofer is a member of the Board of Directors of the Israel Association of Speech and Language Pathologists (ISHLA) and a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Prof. Amir has been treating speech disorders since 1992. He has published numerous studies in the field and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois.

Dr. Yair Shapira, Founder & CEO

Yair combined his vast experience as executive in successful start-up firms, his Ph.D. in the field of speech signal processing, with his passion to help his son, to establish NiNiSpeech. Yair’s vision is to significantly increase speech therapy success rate using evidence-based therapy and groundbreaking technologies. Dr. Shapira served in senior positions in successful start-ups in Israel and Europe, and holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Technion.

Dr. Yoav Medan, Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Medan is the person behind NiNiSpeech core technologies, offering automatic detection, classification and measurement of speech disorders, based on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Yoav is bringing to NiNiSpeech decades of successful technological leadership. Yoav led InSightec architecture (see his TED talk), headed IBM’s speech labs, and serves as visiting professor at the Technion.

Prof. Scott Yaruss, Advisor

Professor Yaruss is among the leading researchers in the field of fluency disorders, bringing over 25 years of experience on the topic. Prof. Yaruss published over 70 peer-reviewed papers. Among his global activities Scott is Professor at Michigan State University, was the associate coordinator of ASHA Special Interest Division for Fluency Disorders and served on the Board of the National Stuttering Association.

Dr. Kathleen Whitmire, Advisor

Dr. Whitmire is an internationally recognized expert in communication disorders. She has served in leadership roles in public education, universities, professional organizations and boards, and the not-for-profit world. She has published and presented extensively on clinical practice with children and youth with communication disorders, is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), where she served as director of school services.

Goncalo Leal, Advisor

Goncalo is a key opinion leader in speech pathology in the Spanish-Portuguese world, and the director of SpeechCare in Portugal. Goncalo delivers speech therapy courses in Europe, Latin-America and the Middle East, and is a visiting lecturer at the University of California at Riverside.

Véronique Aumont-Boucand, Advisor

Veronique is a speech therapy lecturer and supervisor of advanced studies at the Sorbonne, Paris. Veronique is among the key opinion leaders in speech therapy in the French-speaking world, involved in European and international organizations and treats patients in her private clinic.

Dr. Michal Icht, SLP

Dr. Icht has over 20 years of experience in treating communication disorders over a wide range of cases and ages. Michal holds BA, MA and PhD degrees from the School of Communication Disorders at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Icht is currently a faculty member in the Department of Communication Disorders at the University of Ariel and teaches and performs research in speech, language and cognition.

Dr. Leora Moss Levi, SLP

Dr. Moss-Levi is highly experienced in diagnosing and treating speech disorders. Leora served as head speech clinician in Clalit HMO, and established a chain of speech and hearing centers. Dr. Moss-Levi holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University.

Liron Mick, SLP, Clinical Manager

Liron is responsible for implementing NiNiSpeech methodologies in the clinical setting and for training SLPs and partners. Liron is deeply involved in algorithms’ development, focusing on speech perception, as well as clinical studies. Liron holds a BA in Communication Disroders from Tel Aviv University.

Mikhal Sa’ar, CCC-SLP

Mikhal is a speech language pathologist, licensed in USA and Israel since 2010. Mikhal brings extensive therapeutic experience in communication disorders. Her professional experience includes diagnosis and treatment of speech disorders in 3 continents.

Adi Rinker, SLP

Licensed speech therapist and graduate of the School of Communication Disorders in the University of Haifa, Adi treats children and adults with language, speech and communication problems. Her work spans language disorders, articulation, fluency and other communication disorders.

Shirley Aharonov, SLP

Shirley holds B.A. in Communication Disorders from the University of Haifa, and brings extensive experience in treating speech and language disorders. In her work, Shirley focuses on personal attention and patient needs with the goal of providing a pleasant and comfortable treatment, personally tailored to the patient. Previously, Shirley worked at the Ministry of Education with students with communication and language difficulties.

Raghad Hakim, SLP

Raghad is a licensed speech language pathologist, working with children and adults in Hebrew and Arabic. Raghad formerly worked in school settings, as well as private and governmental clinics. Raghad earned her degree in communication disorders from Amman University in Jordan.

Dan Amitai, VP R&D

Dan endeavors day and night to create the optimal user experience for patients and therapists. With 20 years of experience in the software and IT fields, Dan has managed complex systems’ development. Previously Dan served as development leader in Zoran, CSR and other companies. Dan holds a B.Sc. from the Technion and MBA from Haifa University.

Anja van der Vlist-Pluut, Advisor

Anja is a key opinion leader in speech therapy in the Netherlands, a member of the NVLF and on the board of NVST. Anja brings decades of experience with treating children and adults. Anja is continuously introducing novel technologies into Dutch speech therapy

Dr. Osnat Segal, Advisor

Dr. Segal is an expert in language development and published studies on development of language skills. Osnat is a lecturer at Tel Aviv University School of Communication Disorders, and treats patients in private and public clinics. Dr. Segal is the president of ISHLA – Israel’s Speech Hearing and Language Association.

Dennis van der Molen, Business Development

Dennis brings over 15 years of success in developing healthcare businesses. Prior to NiNiSpeech, Dennis successfully managed partnerships in various medical fields in Europe, CIS and Middle East.

Ganit Shter Bar Yehoshua, Chief Business Officer

Ganit brings a track record of successful business management in startup, growth and established firms. Ganit is an expert in creating B2B win-win deals with customers and partners. Ganit holds BA, BSc and MBA, all summa cum laude from the Technion.
